A member of the House of Representatives, Hon. (Barr.) Ifeanyi Chudy Momah, has assured his constituents of more democratic dividends.
Speaking on his one year in office, Momah, representing Ihiala Federal Constituency, said he donated generator and transformer to Our Lady of Lourdes and Nkwo market in Okija.
He said he facilitated jobs for 50 youths in institutions, ministries and agencies, adding that seven of them have received their appointment letters.
According to him, a bill for the Southeast Development (Establishment) was sponsored by him.
“Some of the motions I moved in the lower chamber were not limited to call for urgent intervention in combatting the spread of Coronavirus, especially in rural communities in Nigeria; A need to review and investigate the activities of the power sector; A need to investigate the slow pace of work on three critical road projects, which are Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Abuja-Kaduna-Zaria-Kano Expressway, Second Niger Bridge and many others.
“Motion on the need to review the military strategy of super camps in the fight against Boko Haram insurgency in the Northeast; Motion on the need to tackle environmental degradation in Umuhu, Unahuezike, Ozaragu, Ugwucheleku, Oghalegbu, Ubahuagbogba/Umudaraegwu, Orsumoghu, Uzoakwa and Ndiezike communities in Ihiala Federal Constituency.
“A call for the investigation into the incessant cancellation, diversion and delay of international and domestic flights to and from the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos Airports and other Nigerian airports; A call for the investigation of the $396.33 million allegedly spent on turn around maintenance of the nation’s three refineries in four years.”
