Religion
A 64-year-old Nigerian man, who was a pastor for over 40 years before quitting the profession to become a native doctor, has declared his love for Satan, saying all he has acquired in life came when he decided to serve the Prince of Darkness. The former man of God, Chief Effiong Otu, recounted that when he was a Pastor, he begged God for wealth and riches but the Almighty denied him all the good things of life, but when he turned to Satan, he has been blessed beyond his imagination. Chief Effiong who is from the southern part of Nigeria, narrated that all his years serving the Lord were in vain, as there was nothing tangible God had done for him. “My name is Chief Effiong Otu. I am 64-years-old and the custodian of our tradition and culture at the moment,” Chief Otu started. “B...

Oyakhilome and company

Religion
I LOVE Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, his stylish haircut, his stage theatrics and his one-in-town miracles. I also love his deep voice and the power and influence they exude. He has spoken about pseudo-science, about the power in the blood and its infinite prowess. When he speaks, he sounds sure of his facts and many out there see him as God’s right-hand man who can do no wrong. So, when he opens his mouth, they hear nothing else being said around them. The oracle of God, they appear to believe, is on the throne and attention must not be divided. Since the Coronavirus pandemic broke out, this handsome man of God has been coming up with revelations from high up, revelations never heard of, revelations capable of shaking the globe’s foundation and revelations that can only be described as ...

Etymology Of Hell Fire And Why We Should All Visit Someday By Banwo Olagokun

Religion
As a child I was told and believed hell is a place God created for sinners to burn eternally. I was religiously blind and specifically Anglican foolish. Every religion came as a political conquest and business voyage, with lots of hybridized myths and fear of eternal punishment to scare people off being rebellious to colonial dogma. The things all the foreign religion have in common are rape, looting, burning of our medical and history books, kidnapping our inventors, mavericks, geniuses, slaughtering Africans like animals for being traditional and refusing colonial dogmas, blackmailing our heritage and tradition as demonic, slave masters’ ancestors were called lords, prophets, healers and saviors while ours we labelled as satan, idol, magicians and demons. The blackmail is so deep tha...
