Abductors of 80-year-old Napoleon Alale in Bayelsa State have demanded N100m ransom to free their victim.
The octogenarian, who is the father of the Sagbama Local Government Area, Mr Embeleakpo Alale, was kidnapped on May 8 at his house in their coastal community, Agbere.
Alale is said to be hypertensive and diabetic.
It was gathered that the bandits had earlier demanded N160m before reducing it to N100m.
However, a close family source, who pleaded anonymity, said on Thursday that Alale’s assailants had further cut the ransom to N10m.
According to the source, the council boss has spoken with his kidnapped father only once since the incident happened.
